Plataforma 30 is a project that forms part of a larger urban renewal master plan in Bogotá known as “Alameda Entre Parques.” It emerges as an alternative to the city government’s proposal for developing the 7 de Agosto neighborhood. Through a thorough analysis of the city’s key determinants, such as green areas, main roads, and, most importantly, the needs of the local community, Plataforma 30 becomes a connecting element between the northern and southern sectors of the city, which are divided by Carrera 30.

The project reactivates underused urban spaces and generates high-quality public environments, with a strong focus on equity and spatial justice. Its design strategy weaves together the neighborhood’s social and spatial dynamics, successfully revitalizing a key urban node.

Moreover, Plataforma 30 integrates multiple uses, including ground-floor commercial spaces, communal areas, and three types of housing, for students, families, and senior citizens. In doing so, the project directly addresses Bogotá’s growing demand for inclusive and diverse housing solutions.
